Welcome to Infinituri
Welcome to the finite gallery of the infinite! You are welcome to construct, de-construct and reconstruct your own totem.

How can we represent infinity with finite means? The Infinite Column marked a milestone in modern sculpture, opening new thinking paradigms, new sculptural methodologies and new semantics. Modular sculpture since has evolved from physical to generated. Our mission is to reflect on infinite sculptures, on their modularity, repetitiveness, seriality and to explore them as an inspiration for creating our own interpretations of endlessness.

We aim to change the way art is viewed,
shared and consumed
Infinituri speaks about possibilities, it’s the hope of becoming for every artwork that starts as a small block. With the help of mixed reality, these possibilities become endless.
We aim to democratize modular sculpture and invite everyone to be a creator
With every new evolution in technology, art changes too. However, this doesn't just apply to their production. The way art is viewed, shared and consumed is constantly transforming too. Technology has made art far more accessible. Just like with countless other aspects of modern life, the internet has allowed art to be consumed in a more direct way, opening the industry to a wider and more diverse audience. We want to be a part of this change, but putting technological tools in the hands of creators and making it a process that is both educational and entertaining, both collective and unique.
How do you get to create an infinite form? Start with a module.
The evolution of the original Infinite Column by Brâncuși at first took many forms, focussing on the base and the column as a pedestal before it developed into a sculpture. Brâncuși emphasized the possibility of vertical expansion —it was, he later said, a “column for infinity” (MoMA). The Column is a symbol of the means of ascension to heaven for the souls of the soldiers, and, as Brâncuși himself stated, a way to “sustain the vault of heaven”. If the Endless Column is a form of axis mundi, then conceptually the column connects the heavens, the earth, and the underworld. The axis mundi is defined in mythology as the world centre, as a connection between heaven and earth as a celestial and geographic pole. The Endless Column is also connected with an idea of human continuity and of time as a sequence of generations. Through Inifinituri, we want to invite people to explore their own connection with and understanding of the infinite.
What happens when you create from an immersive 3D mixed reality environment?
Creating in a three-dimensional and simulated environment is potentially one of the most exciting innovations in art. In many ways, it completely transforms the creative experience. Mixed reality liberates us from screen-bound experiences by offering instinctual interactions with data in our living spaces and with our friends. With environmental input and perceptions, experiences start to blend between physical and digital realities. It has been found that mixed reality environments drive almost double the visual attention in the brain (as opposed to non-MR tasks) and these experiences store up to 70 percent more into memory. What could this mean for the creative process? And how would traditional art forms like sculpture change in mixed reality?
How Does It Work?
1
Download the MR experience on your Oculus Quest

Send us a message with your name and address and we'll e-mail a download link to you. Currently the game is available for Oculus Quest users.
2
Enter Level 1 and start exploring

Here you'll encounter famous contemporary sculptures and you'll be invited to get acquainted with their philosophy.
3
Reconstruct
the Totem

Choose your first sculpture - it will automatically decompose and you'll be challenged to reconstruct it from your memory.
4
Enter Level 2 and create your own iconic totem

Combine your ideal shapes / styles / textures in a sculpture that reflects on infinity. See your work in the Gallery Exhibition in the Museum.
